dAVID T. CRUM

assistant professor of history

I am married to my wife (Ailene) and have seven children. We live in the woods of northern Maine. Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor of History. I have worked in higher education since 2013. My research interests are the history of warfare and Christianity. I have a particular interest in studying the work of George w. Truett, and Stonewall Jackson.

As a believer in Jesus Christ, I am proud of my country and the Christian heritage of my ancestors who were original patriots.
As a DIRECT DESCENDANT OF PILGRIM FATHER JOHN ROBINSON, MY ANCESTORS from both my father and mother HAVE FOUGHT FOR THE UNITED STATES IN THE American REVOLUTION, War of 1812, CIVIL WAR, WORLD WAR I, AND WORLD WAR II. I served in law enforcement for five years, three years being with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office under Sheriff Joe Arpaio. I continue to support our first responders and the thin blue line.

Outside of studying my family history, I enjoy reading, especially theologians of the past. A few of my favorite authors are Jean-Henri Merle d'Aubigné, William S. Plumer, J.C. RYLE, ARTHUR PINK, JOHN FLAVEL and Loraine Boettner. I also admire the work of modern author Gerald Bray. you will also find me planting trees on my land and enjoying the beauty of northern Maine.
